A very positive turn to February’s meeting with quite a few new faces, just hope we can get you in the water!. Now the waters warming up we can start to look at dates for shore diving around Anglesey and to the likes the Ecky Delph, Capernwray, Stoney Cove and the National Dive Centre Chepstow. All really good starter dives for those new to British weather diving and viz.

 

1) Celtic dive update. There is only 1 space left for May’s trip to Pembroke, so if your interested you’ll have to be quick and pay your deposit by March’s meeting with the balance to be paid by April’s meeting.

 

2) Live aboard update. There is only 1 place left for this trip also. if you require any more info please contact rob at Aquaventures and he will pass on you details to Steve Roberts.

 

3) Christmas night out. A quite night for most! Mozzi Jeff? Not a big turn out but a big thanks to those who did and as always a really good laugh was had by all.

 

4) The Millport marine station (Scotland) has had to cancel the dates that we had chosen 31st July to 2nd August for students! Hopefully we’ll be able to confirm either 7th, 8th, 9th or 14th,15th, 16th August by March’s meeting.

 

5) We had a good look at diving in Cornwall for next year with both John Taylor and Terry Farrow both coming up with really good ideas. There was a very varied response with some preferring just a long weekend and others still wanting to dive for the week. Verdict still out on this one for next year at least.

 

6) Spain. Because we could not agree what to do about Cornwall we have decided to have a look at the Costa`s. With a possible advanced party driving down with the dive equipment and the others flying down later on. Hopefully we’ll have some good plans to have a look at in March.
